Seth Godin’s Linchpin: someone thinks I’m indispensable

by Dawn Martinello on January 30, 2010

Seth Godin

Today started like any other day.  It was Tom’s turn to wake up with my son so I got to sleep in until 8:15.

I was enjoying my morning coffee while digging into some of the posts in my Google Reader when I came upon Seth’s post about his new book.  I broke the solitude of a quiet Saturday morning with a shriek.

Why, you ask?  Because of this little snapshot:

Seth Godin, Linchpin

That mosaic is the inside cover and jacket of Seth Godin’s new book, Linchpin: Are you indispensable? That’s right baby – that’s my mug.  When Seth originally asked for images of people you felt were indispensable, I sent the photos in two photos of  Danielle LaPorte and Ian Capstick.  They were not only my two largest clients, but they took an early chance on my business.

I’m not sure if I’m more grateful that someone thought enough of me to send in my photo, or if Seth chose my two images to put on his book.  Either way, we’re semi famous now.  I was planning on snagging a copy of the book regardless, but this seals it.

Here’s an easier-to-find shot of the pictures:

Congratulations, Dawn!!!! It’s so wonderful to see hard working, entrepreneurial women be recognized for their accomplishments. I had Linchpin on my books-to-buy-asap list, and this now seals the the deal for me too. Wishing you continued, indispensable success.
