“The entrepreneur is not really interested in doing the work; he is interested in creating the way the company operates. In that regard, the entrepreneur is an inventor. He or she loves to invent, but does not love to manufacture or sell or distribute what he or she invents.”
- Michael Gerber
Entrepreneur. Industrialist. Work-at-home guru. Undertaker.
If you’re part of this gumptious entity that loves to work on your business, not in it – then you’re in the right place.
Hi Everyone
I’m the owner of Monday Morning VA. I also happen to be a wife and Mommy too. My company is a hybrid multi-VA business. This means that I manage everything within the company. It also means that you have a team of high-level professionals that can help you with things like copywriting, graphic design, and web design. My team of general VA’s helps me complete some of your projects in the background.
I’m a jack-of-all-trades type of gal and my clients love me for it. There are a few things that I really love doing – and to boot, I even excel at them. I love to organize things – everything from helping you create systems for your business to helping you organize and plan a product launch. I also love anything to do with social media: creating Twitter backgrounds, developing a social media strategy, adding a high level Facebook Fan page. (check out the company portfolio page -coming soon!)
I’m the voice on the blog. (Even though it’s something we could do for you, I never recommend turning your “voice” over to an assistant.) You can expect to see daily posts and some typography art on the weekends (I call them business scribbles).
The Past
My background is in retail management and customs brokerage, a strange combination indeed. I left it all behind when I had my son in 2007 and created a successful direct sales business with Avon. On February 9, 2009 I opened Monday Morning VA.
The Future
No one really knows what the future will hold, but I can give you a glimpse through my crystal ball. Later this year, I will begin to offer strategy sessions involving your online presence and launching your digital products. I’ll also be releasing some ebooks of my own including one on social media and some mini how-to guides for popular products like Mailchimp, Aweber, and Wordpress.
Getting in touch
The best way to get a quick response is through email. You can book an appointment with me at your leisure – that link will bring you to my Tungle calendar. You can also leave a voicemail by calling 313-406-8400.
Social Networking
Twitter. Direct mail or @replies will reach me equally as quick.
Facebook. This is a link to my fan page. I generally prefer not to include my business life with my personal profile so please don’t feel offended if I ask you to connect on my fan page rather than my personal profile.
Mail. All mail can be sent to PO Box 1106, Harrow, ON, N0R 1G0. This isn’t a sneaky hiding trick. I live in a teeny tiny town that doesn’t offer home delivery. If you’re planning on sending me something so magnificent that you need my street address for UPS, send me an email and I’ll provide the exact location to my hideout.
Newsletter. I offer a monthly newsletter that has brand new articles, discounted services/products, introductions to new clients (whose services you may love to see), and access to my personal rolodex of people and services.
You can sign up for the newsletter here.
You won’t be disappointed, but if you are, there’s always a blatant unsubscribe link in every email. You’ll also pick up our freebie – I change it up every once in awhile, but it’s always pretty cool.
FAQ’s
Who designed your website, logos and other designs?
Moi. The website is created on Thesis (the same wireframe that I use for RapidSites). The main logo and the other artwork/buttons you see on the site were all created by me as well. The cute graphic you see above was created by Susi (she runs a monthly contest – last year you could win a free logo, this year, you can win a free twitter background)
I want to work with you. Not your team. Can you take me on as a client?
Most likely, yes. But working with my team is likely going to be part of the deal. They help me achieve the end results of your project. Don’t worry. I’ll never take on so many clients that we end up turning into a staffing agency. If we do become that big, I’ll refer you to one of my highly respected colleagues.
Who’s your ideal client?
I work really well with people who have an idea of what they want or need. I’ve had clients in the past that have come to me completely lost in their business and wanting me to just fix it. That doesn’t work well. I’m not a miracle worker. If you fit in this category, I have two options for you:
- Use our new service. You purchase the number of questions you’d like to ask me to help you with and I’ll answer you via email or over the phone.
- Use the services of a business coach or a business strategist. I’ve seen first hand how both of these gals fire up the businesses of others. Let them know that you found them here.
Why won’t you answer your damn phone?
It’s only because of my work pattern. If I’m working on Client A’s project and you’re Client B it wouldn’t work well for me to stop my timer, start yours and answer your phone call. The easiest and most responsive way to reach me is via email.
What should I expect in regards to turnaround time?
At current count, we have 19 active long-term clients. My company is in high demand (which is why you’re here!) and I aim for a maximum 48 hour (business days and hours) turnaround time on most inquiries. You can assume that your email has been received unless you haven’t heard from me within 48 hours. If you have a rush project, please make me aware of the need. Though it can’t be guaranteed, I can sometimes juggle my day to accommodate the request. As we perfect our new hybrid multi-VA model, I expect this to change (in a good, better-for-you kind of way).
If you’re a current client, you can help move the process along by providing as much detail as possible in your email; using project@mondaymorningva.com to submit your new or updated tasks directly into our work queue, and by responding to our inquiries quickly.
Thanks for checking things out. All the best,
